For females, the average height ranges from 30 to 34 inches or 50 to 80 centimeters. In terms of weight, these dogs range from 101 to 154 pounds or 46 to 70 kilograms.
In some cases, Great Danes can grow bigger than Irish wolfhounds. One of the tallest ever recorded had a height of 107 centimeters or 3½ feet at the withers. Because it is generally one of the tallest, many people referred to this particular breed as the ‘Apollo of all breeds.’ On hind legs, this kind of dog stands as high as 215.9 centimeters or 7-feet and 1-inch.

The Irish wolfhound is particular breed of dog that originated in Ireland, which is also referred to as cu faoil. It comes in different colors including fawn, pure white and black. Meanwhile, some of these dogs are red, brindle and grayish in color.
