4 to 7 Gallons – For this trash can size, the recommended bag size is 17 inches in length by 17 inches in width.
7 to 10 Gallons – For this size of trash container, recommended trash bag dimensions are 20 inches in width by 21 inches in length.
10 Gallons – For this one, a trash bag that measures about 24 inches in length by 23 inches in width.
10 to 15 Gallons – You can use a trash bag that measures around 24 inches in width by 32 inches in length for this trash container size.
20 to 30 Gallons – Trash bags that have dimensions of about 30 inches in width by 36 inches in length are ideal for this trash can size.
33 Gallons – Now for this size of trash container, trash bags that measure approximately 33 inches in width by 39 inches in length are recommended.
38-Gallon Racks – You can use trash bags that measure 30 inches in width by 46 inches in length for this type and size of trash container.
40 to 45 Gallons – For this bigger-sized trash can, there are trash bags that measure about 40 inches in width by 46 inches in length and these are ideal for this trash container size.
56 Gallons – For this even bigger trash container size, you can use trash bags that measure about 42.5 inches in width by 48 inches in length.
60 Gallons – Finally, for 60-gallon drums; you can use trash bags that measure 38 inches in width by 58 inches in length.
It is important to take note of the size of your trash container prior to purchasing your trash bag so you can get the appropriate size that will fit into your trash container.
A size that is smaller than your trash can will not be able to hold the right volume of trash while one that is bigger will result in not fully utilizing the space inside the bag.
