Timer Sizes
A timer is essential when baking and cooking. Without one, figuring out when the cookies or cakes are ready can be tricky. The following are some of the timers currently available.
Timer Dimensions: Component Design TM15
The Component Design TM15 measures 3.5 x 2.5 x 0.8 inches. The timer comes with a loud alarm and also extra large readouts. This means you can read the digits from far away, and the loud alarm ensures you will not miss it.
The Component Design TM15 has a start/stop button and two buttons for seconds and minutes. You can have the timer count down or up like a stopwatch. The max is 100 minutes.
When set in countdown mode, the Component Design TM15 will begin to count up after getting to zero. The timer comes with a magnet so you can stick it to a metal surface (a fridge for example). An AAA battery is needed for it to run.

This compact timer fits in the palm of your hand and will stick to the fridge, stovetop or clip. The timer comes with a .7 inch LCD screen so you can easily read the figures. The timer is shown in minutes and hours.
If used as a timer, the results are displayed in minutes and seconds. The maximum time is 99 minutes and 59 seconds. The alarm will sound a beep when the time is reached.
Timer Dimensions: Presto 04213
The Presto 04213 timer measures 1-1/2 x 5 x 7-1/2 inches. This electronic timer comes with an LCD display so you can read the results easily. The figures are shown in hours, minutes and seconds (up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds).
The Presto 04213 can also function as a stopwatch, and an alarm will sound when the time is reached. You can also use the last countdown time as it is kept in memory. The unit runs on a single AAA battery. It is cleaned using a slightly damp cloth.
Timer Dimensions: Intermatic DT620CL
The Intermatic DT620CL dimensions are 7.8 x 5.5 x 3 inches. This is an indoor digital timer with a 15 amp capacity. There are four on/off settings every day. There are a couple of timed receptacles as well as an indicator for low battery.
There is also an indicator so you know if the light is on or off. The Intermatic DT620CL can be programmed with 28 different settings. The 28 programmable components are for 14 on/off cycles.
These events can be for the whole day or spread out on different days of the week. If the unit is not plugged into power, the time will be kept for three months by the batteries.
While the alarm sound is important, the timer dimensions are crucial too, especially when reading the results. Programmable features are not present in all devices so look for those if they’re needed.
