A skidder is used for hauling logs that have been cut. 
Using the skidder, the logs are sent to another vehicle where they will be processed or sent to a mill. There are many kinds of skidders, and the following are examples.

Aside from the skidder dimensions, the buyer must also look into the durability of the machine. A high quality skidder should be able to work in steep terrain without losing productivity. A machine that can work in less than ideal underfoot conditions is also a must.
