Through the years, Porsche has released several best selling models in the US and Europe. Some of the most well known and their specs are described below.
Dimensions of Porsche 997 / 911
The Porsche 997 has several derivatives and the differences in size will be specified here. The wheelbase of the 997 is 92.5 in (2350 mm). For the GT3 it is 92.7 in (2355 mm). For the GT3 RS, it is 92.9 in (or 2360 mm). The length is 175.6 in (4460 mm) for the Turbo S. For the GT3, it is 174.6 in (4435 mm) and for the Carrera it is 174.3 in (4427 mm).
The width is 72.9 in (1852 mm) for the 2008 Carrera, 71.2 in (1808 mm) for the Turbo S and 69.7 in (1770 mm) for the 2006 GT3. The height is 51.6 in (1311 mm) for the 2005–06 GT3. For the Carrera 4S Convertible it is 42.1 in (1323 mm).
Dimensions of Porsche Boxster
The wheelbase of the 1997-2002 models measure 95.2 in (or 2418 mm). The length is 171.0 in (4343 mm) for the 1997-2002 models. For the 2003-04 models it is 170.1 in (4321 mm). The Boxster is 70.1 in (equal to 1781 mm) wide and 50.8 in (or 1290 mm) high.
The 1997 986 Boxster uses 2.5 l engines with a maximum speed of 240 km/h 149 mph). The 2000 models uses 2.7 l engines and has a maximum speed of 249 km/h (155 mph). The 987 Boxster has a fuel capacity of 17 US gallons (64 l). The 2009 dimensions are 172 in x 71 in x 51 in (L x W x H).
Dimensions of Porsche Cayenne
The Cayenne’s physical dimensions are as follows: 4798 mm (188.9 in) (L), 1928 mm (75.9 in) (W) and 1700 mm (66.9 in) (H). Different Cayenne models used different engines. The S used the 4.8 L 385 hp; the GTS employs the 4.8 L 405 hp; the Turbo S, the 4.8 L 550 hp and the Turbo 4.8 L 500 hp.
The Cayenne Turbo S could go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Cayenne Turbo can do it in 4.8 seconds while the GTS does it in 5.2 seconds. The Cayenne S goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds and the Cayenne takes 7 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph.
