Largest Memory on an MP-3 Player?

The mp3 player with the largest memory is the Wolverine ESP. It has a capacity of 250 GB. While it can play mp3 files, the device is in fact an all-in-one multimedia player and storage.

Overview

Its memory and capacity allow you to store not just thousands of songs, but also photos and videos. The Wolverine has a 3.5 inch LCD screen. The display has a wide angle view, and the back-light can be adjusted as well.

Music Capabilities

Aside from its built-in speaker, the ESP has support for AAC (MP4-audio), MP4, CFA, WAV, OGG and WMA. With its USB 2.0 connection, copying music files is simply a matter of drag and drop. Select the music files on your computer and drag them to the ESP.

There is an FM radio player included too. There is also the option to record music or talk shows from FM stations. The FM player can scan and store up to 18 stations.

Photo and Video Support

The mp3 player with the largest memory was also developed for digital and professional photographers. A single button press allows all the photos and videos to be moved by way of the 7 in 1 card to the Wolverine’s external storage. Once the contents are stored in the memory card, the card can be redeployed for the camera. There is no need for a computer.

The unit supports txt, jpeg, tiff, bitmap and RAW formats. There is also an option for printing. It is also possible to download from a camera minus the need for a computer.

Supported video formats include Xvid, WMV9, MPEG4 and MPEG1. The video can be shown on a projector or TV. Or you can just use the ESP’s own display.

Compatibility

The Wolverine ESP is designed to work with Macintosh OS 9 and OS X 10.0.1 and later systems. It is also compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP Home or Professional, and Vista. The system uses rechargeable Li-Ion battery.

Its playback is good for 13 hours for audio and four hours for video. Charging is done via USB or an AC adapter. The device weighs 10 ounces. Its physical measurements are 5.3 x 2.8 x 0.9 inches.

While the ESP is currently the mp3 player with the largest memory, there is no telling for how long. The distinction between an mp3 player and a full blown multimedia device is blurring, so the devices will become more powerful.
