Ford Edge Dimensions

Many Ford Edge dimensions are available as several models have been produced. The following is a list of these models’ general specifications.

Specifications

Its wheelbase is 111.2 in (2,824 mm). The length is 185.7 in (4,717 mm) for the 2007–2010 models. For the 2011 types it is 184.2 in (4,679 mm). The width is 75.8 in (1,925 mm) for the 2007–2010 models. For 2011 it is 76.0 in (1,930 mm). All models are 67.0 in (1,702 mm) high.

1st Generation 2011

These versions have a revamped bumper, wheels and the front fascia is different from older models. Rather than the standard buttons and swatches, it uses capacitive touch controls. This feature can also be seen in the Lincoln MKX second generation. The Edge uses a 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine. The SE models have MyFord Touch with 4.2″ color LCD, single-zone manual air-conditioning, and 5-way steering wheel controls.

There are also 17 inch aluminum wheels. The SEL has supplemental parking lamps, a reverse sensing system and 18-inch painted aluminum wheels. Additional features include 5-way switch pads and secondary audio controls, leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature controls (DEATC).

Limited and Sport Editions

The Limited Ford Edge dimensions are similar, but fold-flat front passenger seats, 6-way heated power and a rear view camera. Additional features include 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, SD card reader and video input jacks. There are also Ford Sync including media hub with 2 USB ports, 8″ color LCD display in center stack and Sony audio system with HD radio with 12 speakers in 10 locations.

The Sport has body-color side lower cladding and rocker molding and 4-inch chrome oval dual exhaust tips. It also has a 22-inch polished aluminum wheel with Tuxedo Black spoke accents and automatic transmission. The Sport also has a Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT) V6 engine.

First Generation (U387 / 2006)

The first models came out in January 2006 at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show. The production began in October that year. These models use Ford’s three bar chrome grille design. The SE has single-disc CD/MP3 player, AM/FM stereo and air conditioning. The SEL also has an mp3 player and an AM/FM player. There is also a 6-way power driver’s seat.

Ford Edge dimensions are subject to change. As the company produces more models, the specifications will change. The same can be said of their features, which are upgraded after every new release.
