The TEU stands for twenty foot equivalent unit. It refers to the total capacity of container vessels and terminals. 1 TEU is equal to a 20 ft container and 2 TEU is equivalent to a 40 ft container.
The container cubic capacity will change when the dimensions are altered. Because these are made by different companies, the volume is never totally the same.
