Candelabra Dimensions
Candelabra, candelabrum in singular form, are candleholders that have a singular base and several branches to hold a specific number of candles all at one time.
There are several types of candelabra which, based on their specifications can be used for adorning your home’s exteriors, interiors including the fireplace and can be mounted on walls as well as placed on tables or any elevated and flat surface.
This being said, candelabra dimensions vary greatly, depending on the design and the number of candelabrums per item. These could be taller or shorter, wider or narrower also depending on the size of candles that they were designed for.
Candelabra Dimensions
Special Occasion Candelabra
These are elegantly-designed types of candelabra which could be used for very special occasions such as weddings and baptismal celebrations. A three-taper candelabrum ideal for such events usually measure 18.5 inches in length and 27 inches in height.
For a 4-taper special occasion candelabrum, you can find styles in measurements of 15 inches in width by 29 inches in height.
For weddings, you can find one done in an elegant white finish accentuated with intricate patterns per candelabrum branch to add to the elegance of the item.
Home Candelabra
For home candelabra, there are several designs and styles that you can choose from. Generally, these can have two branches of candelabrum, three and up to seven branches.
A three-branch tabletop candelabrum may come in dimensions of 15 inches high, 4 inches deep and 9.5 inches wide. A five-taper candelabrum on the other hand, can stand about 14.5 inches high and 10 inches wide.
If you want to place more candles on your candelabrum, you can get a seven-taper model which stands approximately 22 inches high, 20.5 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep.
Fireplace Candelabra
These are typically shorter than tabletop candelabra. Depending on your preferred style, these can hold 5 up to 10 candles at a time. A five-taper candelabrum for your fireplace typically has measurements of around 24 inches wide, 13 inches high and 3 inches deep.
A six-taper model on the other hand measures approximately 20 inches wide, 13 inches high and 13 inches deep while a ten-branch style measures 27 inches wide, 14 inches high and 16 inches deep.
Again, the dimensions may vary depending on your chosen style.
Menorah Candelabra
The menorah candelabra also have different dimensions. The one thing that is most common in these however is that they have nine candleholders in all, eight for each day of Hanukkah and one for the center candle which is the shamash.
These can be 6 ¼ x 1 7/8 inches wide x 4 7/8 inches high.
