Number eight in the list of the world’s biggest lake is Malawi (30,044 km2 (11,600 sq mi). It is 579 km (360 mi) long and 706 m (2,316 ft) deep. The volume is 8,400 km3 (2,000 cu mi.
Number nine is Great Slave Lake with an area of 28,930 km2 (11,170 sq mi). The length is 480 km (300 mi). The maximum depth is 614 m (2,014 ft). The water volume is 2,090 km3 (500 cu mi).
