What are Bed Bugs?
Bed bugs are kind of parasitic insects. They are called such because they love populating the bed, sofas, and other cushioned furniture. They feed on warm-blooded animals, commonly humans, usually at night, when the prey is asleep.

The Size of a Bug
Bed bug nymphs or those newly hatched insects are just too tiny. The adult bug measures around four to five millimeters in length and about one and a half to three millimeters in width. When it comes to bed bug nymph sizes, expect that you are looking for just about a quarter of those dimensions or even less. When the adult bug feeds on human blood, its size can multiply three times.
Bed bugs can multiply in numbers incredibly if your space allows them to. In a warm environment, the one to five eggs laid per day by the ladybug can hatch in only ten days. After hatching the bug needs about five feedings before they reach adult stage and be ready to lay their own set of eggs.
Control Bug Infestation
One of the best ways to keep bed bug infestations under control is keeping a clean surrounding. Wash your bedding and everything in your bed that is cushioned in warm water. Hang it dry before putting them back on. Make sure to keep the clutter under control so there will not be a place for the bugs to hide anymore.
