The following battery sizes are for some of the most well known variants. Also included are button batteries and other types.
Common Battery Types
The AAA is also known as the micro with a capacity of 1200 (alkaline). The nominal voltage is 1.5. The size is 44.5 mm x (L) x 10.5 mm (D). The AA is also known as the Penlight. The capacity is 2700 (alkaline) with a nominal voltage of 1.5. The dimensions are (L) 50.5 mm (D) 13.5–14.5 mm.
The C has a capacity of 8000 (alkaline). The nominal voltage is 1.5. Its dimensions are L 61.5 mm (D) 34.2 mm. The battery size 9 volt has a capacity of 565 (alkaline) with a nominal voltage of 8. It is rectangular in shape.
The dimensions are 48.5 mm x 26.5 mm x 17.5 mm (h x l x w). The Lantern Spring has a capacity of 26000 (alkaline) and a nominal voltage of 6. It is square and measures 115 mm x 68.2 mm x 68.2 mm (h x l x w).
Less Known Batteries
The AAAA is also known as the MX2500. Its capacity is 625 (alkaline) with a voltage of 1.5. The dimensions are L 42.5 mm x D 8.3 mm. The 1/2 AA is also known as the SAFT LS14250. It has a voltage of 3.6. It measures L 24 mm x D 13.5-14.5 mm.
The battery size A23 is also called the 23A. The capacity is 40 (alkaline). The nominal voltage is 12. It is L 29 mm x D 10 mm.
The CR123A has a capacity of 1500 (Lithium). It measures L 34.5 mm by D 17 mm. The CR2 has a capacity of 750 (Lithium) with a voltage of 3. The dimensions are L 27 mm × D by D 15.6 mm.
The CR-V3 has a capacity of 3000 (Lithium) with a voltage of 3. It measures 52.20 × 28.05 × 14.15 mm. The J has a capacity of 625 (alkaline). The nominal voltage is 6. It measures H 48.5 mm x L 35.6 mm x W 9.18 mm.
Button Battery Sizes
The CR927 has a capacity of 30 (Lithium) and a nominal voltage of 3. It measures D 9.5 mm x H 2.7 mm. The CR1025’s capacity is 30 (Lithium) with a voltage of 3. It is D 10 mm x H 2.5 mm. The CR1216 has a capacity of 25 (Lithium) and a nominal voltage of 3. The battery measures D 12.5 mm x H 1.6 mm.
The CR1220’s current capacity is 35 40 (Lithium). It is 12.5 mm x 2.0 mm. the SR69 possesses a capacity of 30 (alkaline). It is D 9.5 mm x H 2.1 mm. The SR66 has a capacity of 12-18 (alkaline) and measures D 6.8 mm x H 2.6 mm. The SR58 has a capacity of 18-25 (alkaline). The battery measures D 7.9 mm x H 2.1 mm.
The battery sizes seldom change. However, new types are certain to come out as electronic applications are continuously being developed.
