Gear Shaper Sizes

 

There are no standard gear shaper dimensions yet because manufacturers have different ways of making them. However, the proceeding figures will help you get an idea of the sizes and specifications of these tools. 

MS650-125 CNC Specs 

The external nominal pitch diameter is 25.5" while the internal pitch diameter is 25.5". The maximum diameter swing is 40". The maximum face width is 5" and the max spur diametral pitch is 3 DP. The maximum helical diametral pitch is 3 DP. 

The helix angle maxes out at 45 digress while the cutter spindle stroking range SPM is 20-500. The worktable diameter is 27.165" and the max. spindle position above table is 22.24". 

Other Features of the MS650-125 CNC

These include programmable stroke position of the cutter spindle and a hydrostatic spur guide. There is also an operators menu. It features total power-on elapsed time, cutter configuration menu, operating timer, real time clock and on-line diagnostics. The menu also features the cycle timer and the cycle counter. There is also a programmable tool and automatic lubrication. 

The GE Fanuc 16i CNC control has infeed speed and position, electronic index drive and cutter spindle rotation. Optional features include a mist collector, machine mounted near net sensor, electronic door open and close and CNC controlled cutter offset. 

HS650-200 Gear Shaper Dimensions

The cutter spindle diameter is 4.72" and the nominal pitch diameter, external is 25". The cutter spindle stroking range SPM is 12-500 and the nominal pitch diameter, Internal is 25”. The worktable diameter is 27.2" and the maximum diameter swing is 39". The maximum helix angle is 40 degrees. 

The maximum face width is 8". The maximum diametral pitch, helical is 2 DP. This gear shaper is made for varied and rapid return stroking. Another feature worth noting is the Fanuc 30iB CNC touch screen control. 

HS1280-300 Specs

The HS1280-300 cutter spindle diameter is 5.51" and the cutter spindle stroking range SPM is 12-500. The nominal pitch diameter is 50" external and 50" for internal. 

The maximum face width is 12" and the maximum diameter swing of the machine is 72". The worktable diameter is 44" and the maximum diametral pitch, spur is 2 DP. The maximum diametral pitch, helical is 2 DP. 

The gear shaper dimensions specified here are applicable only for these machines. Also remember that these machines can be revised and updated anytime. At any time, the manufacturer may change the features of the unit, for whatever reason.
