While bean bag furniture is made from various materials, the most common are PVC pellets and Styrofoam. The bean bag furniture was popular from the 1960s to the 1970s. They regained popularity during the 1990s. Most of the products sold then were made from crushed polyurethane. Sometimes this material is called expanded polystyrene or EPS.
