This game is actually played within a basketball court, the dimensions of which vary depending on the level of play. Dimensions of a Basketball Court

NBA (National Basketball Association)

The actual dimensions of a basketball court depend on the rules under which the game is played. In the NBA, the width of the court is set at 50 feet while its length is measured at 94 feet. Additionally, the height of the rim is 10 feet, the diameter of the center circle is 12 feet and the diameter of the restraining circle is 4 feet

The distance of the 3-point line from the sides down to the middle part of the basket is 22 feet, while the 3-point line from the upper part down to the middle part of the basket is 23.75 feet. The width of the shaded lane is measured at 16 feet from the end line and from the free-throw line. The distance of the free-throw line from the backboard is 15 feet. 

FIBA (Federation Internationale de Basketball or International Basketball Federation)

Unlike the NBA, FIBA follows amateur rules. For this reason, the rules and the measurements of its court are somewhat different. Under this, the length of the court is 91.86 feet, while its width is 49.21 feet. The diameter of the center circle is 11.81 feet. The distance of the 3-point line from the center of the basket is 20.5 feet from the sides and 22.15 feet from the upper part.

The width of the shaded lane all the way to the free-throw line is 11.81 feet. On the other hand, the width of the shaded lane all the way to the end line is 19.69 feet. The distance set between the backboard and the free-throw line is 15.09 feet. Although these items are different from that of the NBA, FIBA also shares a couple of similar measurements with the professional league, namely the diameter of the restraining circle as well as the height of the rim.
