The most common dimensions are 14 1/2 x 12 9/16 x 18 3/4 (110 lbs field weight), 18 3/4 x 16 1/4 x 20 5/8 (220 lbs), 23 1/4 x 20 3/16 x 24 3/4 (390 lbs) and 27 1/4 x 24 1/8 x 29 1/2 (750 lbs).
Big Aquariums
The 180 gallon tank is 72 1/2 x 24 1/2 x 25 5/8 (2100 lbs filled weight). The dimensions of the 150 gallon are 72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 28 1/2 (1800 lbs). Other popular sizes are 125 gallon (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 23 3/8) 1400 lbs, 100 gallon (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 19 3/8) 1150 lbs and 120 gallon (48 1/2 x 24 1/4 x 25 1/2), 1400 lbs.
A tank with a capacity of 90 gallons has dimensions of 48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 25 3/8. Its filled weight is 1050 lbs. For the 75 gallon, the dimensions are 48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 3/8 with a filled weight of 850 lbs.
Medium Size
Aquarium capacity by dimensions for medium sized tanks are as follows. For a 15 gallon, it is 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 12 3/4 (170 lbs); for the 20 gallon High it is 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 16 3/4 (225 lbs). The size of a 25 gallon is 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 20 3/4.
The biggest in the medium sizes is the 40 gallon Breeder which measures 36 3/16 x 18 1/4 x 16 15/16. The 30 gallon breeder measures 36 3/16 x 18 1/4 x 12 15/16. The 45 gallon has dimensions of 36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 23 3/4.
Small Aquariums Size Guide
The 15 gallon Show measures 24 1/4 x 8 1/2 x 16 5/8 while the 10 gallon Long is 24 1/4 x 8 1/2 x 12 5/8. The 15 gallon High is 20 1/4 x 10 1/2 x 18 3/4 and the 5 gallon is 16 3/16 x 8 3/8 x 10 1/2. The 2 1/2 gallon is 12 3/16 x 6 1/8 x 8 1/8.
